So to begin my top tens. Top ten films as at 20/4/2006 are:
1. Goodfellas - the greatest Gangster film of all time. Flawless.
2. The Third Man - when Brits new how to make an adventurous films. Welles dominates through about 10 minutes on screen.
3.Touch of Evil - Welles the director, dark, daring and brilliant.
4.Taxi Driver - De Niro and Marty at the height of their genius. For the title sequence alone.
5. Living in Oblivion - the best film about making a low budget movie ever.
6. Withnail and I - possibly the most quoted British Movie of all time.
7. Wind in the Willows (Cosgrove Hall) - enchanting and David Jasons best role.
8. Ghostdog - Jim Jarmusch's poetic masterpiece, brilliant hip hop loving Gangster
9.It's a Wonderful Life - for Christmas always.
10. The Life Aquatic - loved it.
